They love calling these old Texans warbirds, but in reality they're merely trainer aircraft, so haven't really seen any fighting.
That's also why they're yellow. You wouldn't attack the enemy with a yellow airplane, it's kinda obvious. It's yellow to show to other airplanes in the vicinity that it's being flown by a newbie-pilot and that you better not get too close to it.

So you visited 'Warbird Adventures' at Kissimmee as well as F of F then? Good job. I got a couple of good shots of the Stearman there, which I really out to upload.
